Battery Load Unit DV Power BLU200A
SKU: BLU200A-EU-R1
DV Power Battery Load Unit BLU200A is a state of the art, lightweight solution for battery capacity testing. This battery load unit can be used for testing batteries according to the following:
- Operating voltage range from 5,55 to 300 V
- Maximum discharge current of 240 A
- Testing online batteries (batteries already connected to the load)
Shipping time 48h
Battery systems must be reliable and provide power whenever it is required from them. When damaged they also present a safety risk. Batteries condition needs to be regularly inspected. The most reliable testing method is measurement of battery capacity performing the discharge test. The DV Power BLU200A, Battery Load Unit is an automated, reliable, and powerful tool for battery discharge test.
The BLU200A is stand-alone or PC-controlled battery capacity lightweight (14,5 kg/32 lbs) test set, based on a state-of-the-art technology, using the most advanced power electronics solutions with coolers and fans integrated into device. It can be used in a range of applications such as:
- Power utility batteries monitoring tasks
- Testing the power supply to circuit control and protection devices during power outages
- Telecom standby power applications
- For batteries requiring long-term discharge capabilities, etc.
Intended Use Battery Load Unit BLU200A:
DV Power BLU200A is a powerful solution with maximum discharge power of up to 19,7 kW. It is applicable to any battery string such as Lead-acid, Li-Ion, Ni-Cd, with the battery voltage from 5,55 V up to 300 V and maximum discharge current up to 240A. Besides that, if higher currents are required BLU200A can be connected in parallel with another unit or additional BXL load can be used.
The user can select three discharge modes:
- Constant current,
- Constant power,
- Constant resistance.
Additionally, different battery duty cycles can be simulated using user-selectable discharge profiles.
How to Use BLU200A?
Testing with the DV Power BLU200A allows you to test batteries online by using the optional current clamp, which means that you do not have to disconnect the batteries from the load. Combined with Battery Voltage Supervisor BVS and Battery Voltage Recorders BVR, BLU200A devices are powerful tool which enables performing detailed evaluation of batteries.
DV Power Battery Load Unit, BLU200A, is connected to the battery with a set of current test leads of customizable length (3, 5, 10 m, etc). Optionally, voltage sense test leads of the same length can also be provided.
After connecting the BLU200A to the test object, simply by choosing the type of test and presetting the necessary limits for battery type that is being tested the test is prepared to be started. Depending on the battery type, test current value, after a predefined time the result is one simple number, measured capacity expressed in Ah. If any of the predefined limits is reached before the time limit ends, battery is not able to provide the necessary power.
DV Power Battery Load Unit BLU200A is testing the batteries in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.
PC Software Used with Battery Load Unit BLU-A Series
Official DV-B Win software is also included in the purchasing price of the Battery Load Unit DV Power BLU200A. Using the software a test can be controlled, performed and observed from a PC (or notebook) and the results can be saved directly on a PC (or notebook). Using DV-B Win the results can be arranged and printed for a report. Supported formats are:
- XLS
- Word
- RTF.
