The RMO-A series is a series of micro-ohmmeters that are widely used in industries such as circuit breaker manufacturing, commissioning, and maintenance. As portable test devices, devices in this series provide accurate and reliable contact resistance measurements of high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and other high-current links.

RMO-A PORTABLE DIGITAL MICRO-OHMMETER

The RMO-A series consists of powerful electrical measurement tools that have a wide range of applications with the ability to accurately measure not only in factory environments but also in high-induction fields and substations. These micro-ohmmeters are precise measuring tools that generate a true DC ripple-free current with automatically regulated test ramps. During a test, the RMO-A devices ramp with increasing current before measuring and decreasing current after the measurement. This significantly decreases magnetic transients and ensures great accuracy.
From the RMO-A series, among the RMO100A, we offer the following micro-ohmmeters:
  • The RMO200A which generates current up to 200A
  • The RMO300A which generates current up to 300A
The RMO-A measuring instruments have three separate test modes:
  • SINGLE Mode
  • CONTIN Mode
  • DTRtest Mode

SINGLE MODE

The RMO-A instrument generates a filtered (true ripple-free) DC current and outputs it in an automatically regulated current ramp. By slopping the current up and down, magnetic transients are virtually eliminated.

CONTIN MODE

RMO-A can generate DC currents up to 100 A continuously.

DTRtest MODE

DTRtest menu is specially designed for resistance measurement of the dead tank circuit breakers. In this mode, the current transformer is saturated in order to get precise measurements. Detection of the saturated condition of the CTs is done by an advanced internal algorithm. Accordingly, the process of measurement parameters setting and testing in this mode is very simple and does not differ much from live tank circuit breaker testing.

RMO-A SERIES DESIGN

The RMO-A series is a series of digital micro-ohmmeters that are designed and manufactured by DV Power. Its user-friendly interface and controls make it easy and intuitive to operate, while its durable construction ensures that it can withstand even the most demanding testing environments. With its compact design and portability, the RMO-A tool is a convenient digital micro-ohmmeter that can be used in the lab or in the field.
The RMO-A is a reliable test instrument that can store up to 500 measurements in internal memory.  Free DV-Win software communicates with the RMO-A micro-ohmmeter via USB or RS232 interface. It allows you to run the test remotely from a PC, as well as to download test results, analyze them, and generate fully configurable test reports.
In summary, the RMO-A series with its advanced technology is a state-of-the-art series of electronic measuring devices that provide precision and accuracy for a wide range of applications. These digital micro-ohmmeters are ideal choices for industries that require precise and consistent measurement of electrical resistance.

RMO DV-Win Software provides several advanced features as a supplement to multiple functions of RMO devices. Testing in Continuous mode is upgraded with a sample time feature which allows a user to record test results in specific time intervals set in seconds. After performed measurements results can be saved in various formats and test reports can be generated and saved or printed. The result can also be downloaded from the device to the PC by the use of several different search filters.
For the RMO form of DV-Win software, there is a Help menu available, with detailed instructions and explanations of all functions and features.
