BVR22 is made to facilitate the measurement of cell voltage measurement during battery capacity testing.  In order to identify failing cells in the string that need to be changed, measurements of cell voltage, temperature, inter-cell connection voltage, and specific gravity should be made during capacity testing.  Furthermore, periodic measurement of the overall string voltage, the cell voltage, and the temperature are required by IEEE standards for stationary battery applications.  This device an ideal instrument for these measurements. The internal memory of the device automatically saves all measurements. Additionally, the user can download all saved battery tester readings using the DV-B Win software. The user can also produce test reports and export them in different formats.  Intended use  BVR22 is a versatile instrument which can be used for the following applications:  Efficient support tool for the BLU series of Battery Load Units during battery capacity testing  Monthly battery checks and inspections  Battery current measurement using current clamps  Simultaneous string voltage and current measurement to analyze the discharge test process  Key Features The BVR22 is a handheld rechargeable device used as a support tool for capacity testing as well as for monthly battery maintenance. The device has a voltage measurement range of up to 600V. BVR22 can measure the following parameters:  Cell voltage  Electrolyte temperature  String voltage  String current  Ambient temperature  Measured data can be transfer to DV-B Win PC software for further analysis. PC connection is established either via USB cable or via Bluetooth.  Bluetooth communication with external Density meter is also available, so that specific gravity measurement can be transferred to the BVR22 device and then to the DV-B Win software.    Operation Modes   The BVR22 has multiple operation modes:  Multimeter mode – this modes enable measurement of DC voltage, DC current and temperature without saving the results in the device’s memory  Standard mode – this mode is used for cell voltage measurement during a capacity test. Cell measurements are saved automatically and the user is prompted to make the next cell measurement. Measurement of previous cells in a scan can be repeated by navigating to the correct cell using the arrow keys.  U+I mode – used for simultaneous measurement of string voltage and string current  Specific gravity mode – used to transfer specific gravity measurements from a Density meter via Bluetooth

Using the DV-B Win software, measurement results from the BVR22 can be transferred to a PC and results can be presented in a table, scan graph, as well as a line view.  To perform detailed comparisons and analysis of measured data, a user defined limits for battery, and string voltage as well as temperature, are displayed in the scan graph view along with measured results. A test report of collected data can be generated and user customized for a comprehensive battery state of health assessment.  The connection between the software and the BVR22 can be established using a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
